Watch out renting from these guys, they charge mileage overages. Strongly recommend Enterprise in Winona. I accidentally booked Hertz through Expedia while searching on "unlimited mileage" rentals and assumed that was what I got. Instead, I get a nice surprise charge from them for mileage overages. When I called to complain, I received some pretty crappy customer service as well. Too bad, because I rent cars often. Note to self, stay away from this place.
I met these people over the phone after one of their car renters smashed into my car over in La Crosse. I exchanged info with the car renters and I received a call from this shop who assured me that they would contact their insurance company who would then contact me so that I could have the damage to my car fixed. instead this hertz rental outlet in Winona is now denying they ever heard of me or that any of their vehicles were ever in a crash much less in a crash involving me.. in addition they were verbally abusive and hung up on me several times. I would not rent from these people. obviously someone who would not only lie i n the face of solid evidence that said crash occurred (I have photos and a police report) could be pretty much expected to do anything and everything to cheat a customer. if you do rent from them I would take photos of every inch of the car to avoid having them try to extract money from you by blaming you for preexisting damage. these are the sort of people you would be renting from. be forewarned.
